Recap

Our hotel
We have officially arrived in Germany!! It has been so busy the past three days that there was no time to blog. We arrived on Monday after an overnight flight which I obviously did not sleep on. We were all very tired but managed to make our way to our (very nice) hotel for a quick break and then headed out again to the city center.

We wandered around town and ended up at the Hofbrauhaus which is a brewery in Munich that is owned by the Bavarian State Government. We had some traditional German food and beer of course (none for me).

Just kidding

After we ate we walked around for an hour and a half and explored the city. We then hopped back on the train to go to the hotel and pass out.

We awoke the next morning to the most amazing complimentary breakfast buffet. We stuffed ourselves for our long day ahead. We met a guide in the city center where we explored for about two hours.

After walking around and grabbing lunch we headed off for a boat tour. On the tour we were able to see various castles, however most of us were so tired we were just happy to sit in the sun on a beautiful boat.
More beer

Later on we headed back to the city center and got some food at a grocery store and brought it back to the hotel. We called it an early night since we were still so exhausted.
The following day was pretty similar. We stuffed ourselves and went with the same guide on a Nazi history walking tour. The tour was very interesting and a lot of walking. We grabbed lunch and then met up again for a tour of the Jewish museum. The museum was so interesting and we had an excellent guide. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and afterwards we went back to the grocery store and grabbed dinner to bring back to the hotel. We had our first assignment due at 11 so we all parked ourselves in the lobby (where there is free wi fi) and wrote our papers. We went to bed extra early since we had to get up on the early side for our tour of Dachau.
